Paleet in Oslo (phonetic for the locally vernacular "Palais-et") is located half way between the Royal Palace and the Parliament, at the Oslo's parade street Karl Johans gate. This is THE Galleria of the downtown, with 45 shops and 13 restaurants. Designed at the height of the building & economic boom, no effort has been spared to use the most luxurious finishes of the time. Paleet has radically changed the Oslo's retail landscape when it opened in 1990 and has been very successful ever since in attracting the young and urbane with its luxurious tenant mix. The interior design theme of the circulation space was loosely based on Art Deco traditions resulting in a timeless, stimulating and much appreciated milieu.
